The dashboard
The dashboard is where you land when you sign in — the Dashboard item in the navigation panel (route /). Headed Overview, it answers two questions at a glance: what needs your attention, and what is happening across your Sites. Everything on it reflects the Sites and Projects you can access.
Scope filter
Two pickers at the top — Sites and Projects — narrow the whole page to the work you care about. Leave them empty to see everything you have access to.
Needs you
An action queue of items waiting on you, each row a link straight to the work:
- Draft imports awaiting commit — imports you started but have not committed.
- Imports that failed — your imports that did not commit successfully.
- Comments needing resolution — every open action item you can see: any Comment marked as requiring resolution that nobody has resolved yet. The row shows how many are Critical and High so you can gauge urgency at a glance, and opens the list sorted by priority (Critical first). Items stay here until someone resolves them, rather than dropping off after a set time.
- Comments that mention you — where someone @mentioned you.
- Replies to your comments — answers to comments you wrote.
When nothing is waiting, the card reads "You're all caught up — nothing needs your attention right now."
At a glance
Four counts for your current scope: Sites, Projects, Samples, and Lab Reports.
Your sites
A map of your Sites, each marker colored by recent activity — needing attention, active, or idle. Select a marker for the Site's status and a link to its detail page, or follow Map analysis → to open the full Map tool. The interactive map appears only when an ArcGIS API key is configured (see System settings); without a key, this card becomes a compact list of your Sites by status.
Recent activity
A merged feed of the latest changes and comments across your scope, newest first. Select an entry to open the related record; for a record that has since been deleted, it opens that record's activity timeline — where the history, including the deletion, is still available — rather than a not-found page. View all → opens the Activity Hub.
Who sees the dashboard
The dashboard is available to all four roles — Administrator, Data Manager, Manager, and Staff.
This everyone-internal dashboard is distinct from the Administrator-only admin dashboard, which reports installation health, licensing, and security rather than your day-to-day work.
