Activity Hub
The Activity Hub brings the cross-cutting activity on your domain data into one place: the change history of your records, the discussion attached to them, and the alerts addressed to you. It is for the internal team — the staff and managers who work the data day to day, including the Data Stewards who follow what changes.
You reach it from the top-level Activity Hub nav item (/activity-hub). The
nav item shows an unread indicator when you have unread
Notifications. Access is limited to
internal roles — Administrator, Data Manager, Manager, and Staff.
In this section
- Audit Log — the change history of your domain data (Sites, Samples, Lab Reports, and the rest): who changed what and when, filterable by record, user, action, and date.
- Activity timeline — the per-record view of the same history, a panel you open from any record's detail page to see that one record's changes in order.
- Comments — the threaded discussion attached to records: Comments you can filter by mentions of you and by replies to your own.
- Notifications — the alerts addressed to you, with an unread count surfaced on both the nav item and the hub.
How the hub is organized
The landing page presents the three hub views as cards; the Activity Timeline is not its own hub page but a panel inside each record.
Figure: The Activity Hub landing opens the Audit Log, Comments, and Notifications; the Activity Timeline opens from a record's detail page.
The Activity Hub Audit Log records changes to your domain data. The separate Administration System Audit Log records sign-ins, account and role changes, settings, and server lifecycle, and is available to Administrators only. The two live in different databases — see System audit logs and Aggregates, locking, and auditing.
